Visual identity of the TV shows
Controversial copyright

According to the advice of Miodrag St. Markovic, the lawyer, said at the grandstand of Balkankult, the best solution for the authors would be the protection of the concepts of their shows, of their visual identities and originality, in written form. It is clear that everyone is ready to steal everything at once!

The fourth, and at the same time, the last grandstand that took place yesterday and its theme was Copyright in Culture
Professional also got to the piracy market

It all resulted with a series of opened questions that, for now, stay without answers because this country, apart from the law about the copyright that should be moderated, needs several others as well that would be related to certain fields in culture and cinema, for example, but also a thought-out cultural policy, as Dimitrije Vujadinovic from Balkankult pointed out.

The law is favourable to those who have power

The fourth, and also the last grandstand about copyright in movie and theatre art, organized by Belgrade Cultural Centre and Balkankult, was marked by number of polemics and lack of understanding of the representatives of legislators and creators. There was a big polemic at this well attended grandstand.
Makavejev pointed out that, according to European standards, the culture cannot be treated like any other goods, because European Union have let its members, and future members as well, to create their own cultural policies, and that the legislators in our country should act the same way, even though they do not.

Copyright in movies and theatre
The game between the authors and the rest of the world

At the turbulent grandstand in Belgrade Cultural Centre, the most famous creators claimed retroactive return of the rights from the previous period and the revision of the contracts.
Balkankult will soon publish a collection that will contain all the discussions led at this grandstand, which was attended by more than two hundred authors, and the future session of the dialogs will deal the theme Developing Aspects of Cultural Industries.

Unused strength and power

The Office for Intellectual Property and Balkankult have recently published a major book, useful to both experts and ordinary intellectual- a man who does his work and doesn’t even think about the profit that he provides for his company, society or country.

The Green Book in Serbian

The book was published in French, English and Serbian language. The Green Book discusses about the relationship between artists and the local and regional authorities and also about the artistic and cultural life of European continent.
Dimitrije Vujadinovic presented the publication in Serbian, dedicated to the west Balkans. The main question that the Green Book deals with is the decentralization of the cultural life and the cultural production.
