European cultural foundation (ECF) and Hivos organised a wide European conference in the Hague, 1st December 2005. The conference "The heart of the matter - What future for the Balkans in the EU? The role of the arts and cultural cooperation in their European integration" gathered around 180 cultural researchers, operators and administrators from the Western Balkans region and Europe.
ECF has formed a Reflection Group of the representatives from the Western Balkans whose task is to examine the cultral dimension of the (Western) Balkans' European integration process. A number of politicians was also present, discussing the possibilities to involve significant financial means in the integration processes.
BalkanKult Foundation was present with two representatives, Mr. Dimitrije Vujadinovic, president and Ms. Ksenija Graovac, researcher.
