Dimitrije Vujadinovic, the Director of Balkankult, participated on Euro-mediterranean Civil Forum on intercultural dialogue held in Hania, Crete from 1st to 4th May 2003. He was the only representative from Serbia and Montenegro among 200 participants from almost all Euromediterranean countries.

Dealing with the intercultural dialogue the participants were divided into four workshops: Dialogue between the cultures, Dialogue of religions, Intercultural education and the solution for peace and Intercultural dialogue and cohabitation in the areas of conflict.

The Director of Balkankult, Mr Vujadinovic, had a speach in the workshop dealing with Solutions for peace and stresed that manipulations inside the culture were one of the reasons which led to the national confilcts in the former Yugoslavia. At the same time, being the instrument of hatred during the war, culture is the most fruitfull field of briging the side in conflict after.
Next Forum will be held in Naples from 28 to 30 November 2003.
