The ERICarts Institute carried out a six month study for the European Commission between April and October 2008 on mobility incentives in the culture/creative sector. This was not intended to be an audit of all mobility related schemes in Europe, but rather a survey and analysis of the range and scope as well as motives and results of such programmes.
Mr. Dimitrije Vujadinovic was one of Cultural Research Experts for the SEE (Albania; Bosnia-Herzegovina; Montenegro; Serbia, Romania, Chroatia, Bulgaria and Turky) on behalf of ERICarts that fullfilled the study for the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Commission regarding “The Mobility of Cultural Workers in Europe” at the beginning of October 2008.
In particular, the study for the European Commission addressed:
• National, regional and local programmes and schemes designed to foster the trans-national mobility of cultural workers;
• Related national and regional cultural diplomacy initiatives, EU Neighbourhood programmes and trans-continental mobility schemes;
• Administrative and legal frameworks which facilitate or influence mobility practices in the cultural sector, including those related to the culture industries.
Participants in the project: Susanne Capiau, Danielle Cliche, Rod Fisher, Oliver Goebel, Ilkka Heiskanen, Dorota Ilczuk, Ritva Mitchell, Dimitrije Vujadinovic, Andreas Wiesand
