It is by virtue of their heroic character and psyche, their life wisdom and their ability to survive even the hardest conditions and sufferings that these women succeeded in keeping the fabric of family life as intact as possible in those conditions. Thus the warmth of the home was preserved for the return of the lucky ones who did not die in battles. Without their great sacrifices, the “normal” life could hardly continue after the war and all the military successes would be in vain. Their accomplishments were equal to the victories on Cer, Kolubara or Kajmakčalan.The publication is available on the website.
