Partners: Museum of Majdanpek and Museum of Zaječar
Consultants: Mr. Paun Es Durlić, ethnologist, director of the Museum of Majdanpek: Mr. Bora Dimitrijević, archeologist, director of the Museum of Zaječar
Goal: to present to wider public the traditional and contemporary life and culture of central Balkan / Eastern Serbia which has remained undiscovered over the years.
This will be done through the photo exhibition and a photo monograph published in English and in Serbian language.
Description: The project is based on perceiving the unique cultural and religious diversity which has, in an unusual manner, succeeded in bonding the everyday life tradition.  There are hundreds of such motifs preserved in the culture of the Vlachs of the north-eastern Serbia and each of them represents one capital letter from the book of Childhood of the human civilisation. It faded into oblivion a long time ago in other parts of the world, but with the Vlachs this book is still being written and read.
The project will be realised in a form of a photo – monograph and exhibition which will be first presented in Belgrade (Serbia) and Rovaniemi (Finland), afterwards in the cities of the region and Europe.  (Att.2 wider explanation of the project idea)
Key words: cultural diversity, the art of photography, Vlach people, shamanism. MORE...
